Since 2008, Chomon House has published a widely (world-widely!) distributed quarterly Shin Buddhist journal called Pure Land Notes. Due not in the least to the consistency and continuity of its engagement in the transmission and indeed introduction of Shin Buddhism to the UK in around 1977, PLN has evolved to become a meeting place for those unable to attend our Thursday night 'core-group' gatherings at Chomon House. Those that subscribe to the journal represent the vast majority of the membership of the SBFUK. Please click/tap here >purelandnotes.com< or on the links above and below for details.

In 2012 Chomon House resident Gary Robinson became a ordained as Jodo Shinshu Buddhist priest and given the title and name Reverend Daichi by the Nishi Hongwanji organization in Kyoto, Japan. Following this, Chomon House was given the honor of organizing the 17th biennial European Shin Buddhist Conference. To coincide with this significant event Chomon House became designated as the national H.Q. of the Shin Buddhist Fellowship UK.
